Terms and conditions of sale

These terms apply to all sales by GREENTRADE SUPPLIES LTD ("the Seller"), company number 00000000, registered office 1 Example Road, London, EC1A 1AA, United Kingdom. By placing an order you agree to these terms.

1. Trade only

We sell to businesses only: limited companies, partnerships and sole traders buying for the purposes of their trade. We do not sell to consumers, and consumer protection legislation (including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and consumer cancellation rights) does not apply to our sales.

2. Quotes and orders

• Prices on the website are trade prices per unit, exclusive of VAT and delivery, and are indicative only.
• An enquiry becomes an order when we issue a pro forma invoice and you pay it. Each pro forma is valid for 7 days.
• Minimum first order value is £500 excluding VAT. Minimum order quantities (MOQ) apply per line as shown in the catalogue.
• We may decline any order at our discretion.

3. Prices and payment

• All prices are in pounds sterling and exclusive of VAT, which is charged at the prevailing rate.
• Payment is by bank transfer in advance of dispatch unless credit terms have been agreed in writing.
• Goods remain the property of the Seller until paid for in full (retention of title).

4. Delivery

• Delivery is to UK mainland business addresses on pallets, by kerbside tail-lift unless otherwise agreed.
• Quoted lead times are estimates. We are not liable for losses caused by delayed delivery.
• Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery.
• You must inspect goods on delivery and note any visible damage on the carrier's paperwork.

5. Shortages and damage

Claims for shortages, incorrect items or transit damage must be made by email within 3 working days of delivery, with photographs where relevant. Our liability for such claims is limited to replacement of the affected goods or a credit at our option.

6. Returns

Goods correctly supplied are not returnable except by prior written agreement. Where a return is agreed, goods must be unused, in original packaging, and a restocking charge of 20% plus carriage may apply.

7. Warranty and liability

• We warrant that goods will conform to their description and be free from material defects on delivery.
• Our total liability arising from any order is limited to the price paid for that order.
• We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit or resale margin.
• Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

8. Product information

Images are for illustration. Dimensions, weights and finishes may vary slightly between production batches. Timber products show natural variation in grain and colour.

9. General

• These terms supersede any terms proposed by the buyer.
• These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
